Tobacco  $10.00 for 15 days.

Thor was right.

Tubes cost 2 bucks for 5 days, one carton. Two packs a day.

Mama and her friend Luann are going to take a walk on a recreational trail not too far from here.

I wish I could still do that type of thing. My bad foot could probably handle it but the bad hip doesn't let me move around as much as I would like.  It's a glorious day weather wise, 66 and sunny. Very light winds.

I had a revelation this morning...if you have bedhead and nobody sees it. Did it really happen?

My wife's doctor told her she has the bones of a 70 year old woman. She is 57.

It's a good thing my bone is only 58. Evil Smile

What about this stupid Clearasil commercial??

The young lady is sitting there with a compound fracture...and Clearasil thinks that's funny?

Confused...gotta wonder if those stories of 'Orphan Trains' and 'Child Labor' scared away members?

I'm still holding out hope that it will take a sharp northeast turn and stay off the coast, or failing that, if it makes it's way up the center of the peninsula, by the time it gets this far north maybe it will have weakened considerably.

I wish I had a small, battery operated TV set right now.

That would be on my 'must have' list of things if a power outage was expected.

Then, and the storm's track doesn't look very good, you have to hope the TV stations can stay on the air.

Good luck and be safe to everyone in the path.

The latest prediction shows it turning toward the west coast, but I still plan to play it safe. After all in 2004 another hurricane (Charley) took a similar path toward Tampa, but made an overnight decision to turn right and go up Interstate 4 and head straight to Daytona Beach! Shocked And that was only the beginning! Ouch PRAY HARD!

The stations continue to broadcast, it's just that the power goes out.

The TV stations all have powerful emergency generators.

I just fired up my generator, it's ready to be used if I need it. As with last year if I need to use it I'll attach an extension cord to the port I don't need and toss it to a neighbor so they can plug in their refrigerator if needed. Hang tight and may God help you if you need it.

BTW reports from Mexico say the tsunami that struck was either 3.3 feet high or 3.3 meters high (about 10 feet high). I hope it was the smaller number!

I don't mean to be the eternal pessimist.

If the power generators are above possible flood levels.
If the transmission towers are not damaged.

I still hope for the best outcome for everyone down that way. Even Donna!

I get what you're saying.

What I can say is that it has never happened around here as we not a particularly flood prone area.

I think most of the TV stations use microwave dishes nowadays.

These are two stations near here.

They probably have redundant backup systems in place.

The right is blaming Obama.

The left is blaming Trump.

Way to go, Trump.

All Trump's supporters are up in arms because he really quickly agreed with the Dems to get relief going - watch out! He's SEEN THE LIGHT and is going all DEM. This is his destiny - his opportunity to take on Mother Nature and beat her to a pulp - to become what he always knew he was...The Great Savior!
