"I WANT A BATH!" "YOU NEED A BATH!"
Well, it doesn't quite go like that...but I thought it should, the first time I saw the ad.
~~~
If you're a bath/jacuzzi lover, YOU want one of these individually custom-built baths by the time the commercial is over, and you'll soak away the 'momentary sticker shock'. Just another car payment out of the montly budget, doncha know...I don't like this commercial 'cause NOW I WANT ONE.
I wanna attach my desk to it.
And the coffee maker.
And a small fridge.
And a small stove.
And a beer cooler.
And a toilet.
And my video conferene equipment (I'll wear a tie when it's on).
I'll never leave - I'll turn into a raisin.
When I croak, they can just shovel dirt on in it - 'MudMonkey in a Jello Mold', I tell ya! Just drag it out behind the garage and leave it.
This may be an excellent option for the Seniors or Disabled in the family, but don't fool yourself - this is a 'luxury soaker'! This is 'Heaven in the bathroom'!
Don't forget - this is your 'new car' - prices around $20,000 may be expected (let that 'soak in').
~~~
Problem is...we Wolfies LOVE our baths and will soak in a tub for hours (I love to sleep in full hot baths, as dangerous as that is). We're SO bad about it that MissyD will go and take over one of the tubs at the gurlz' townhome if I get cranky about any possible 'time confict'.
I just cannot see lowering myself to bombing in on someone else..."Hi - I need to borrow your bathtub for the afternoon/evening/morning/untl I'm friggin done with it!" - not a problem for Mama, noooo.
I probably could re-energize our 'love life' by getting two of these and, who knows - maybe I can get CIALIS to sponsor it (sure - slap on some little stickers, or whatnot).

The more I looked into the product, the more misleading it is...a few 'oddities':
1.) It is *not* American-made; it is made in the U.K. (I'm quite o.k. with this as long as it isn't an automobile less than a Bently or Rolls coming from the UK, just about any other product is worth its weight in gold and of great quality)
2.) The business headquarters is in the U.S., but misrepresents the product origination.
3.) The quality rating is high, but it appears any type of these tubs are problematic (I study ANY investment exceeding $100, in depth - and that includes beer)
4.) The sales methodology is clearly of question - they're written up repeatedly as extremely high-pressure sales goons who prey upon the needy. Give me an hour with one of them...I still want me a luxury bath (when the jacuzzi is running, it kind of looks like a person is relaxing neck-high in a toilet being flushed).
5.) I wanna open the door with the tub completely full and publicly blame the resultant disasterous mess on MissyDWolf...pointing & screaming & naked ('cept for a long 'scrubby sponge', strategically placed)

I don't want a bath. Showers only here, cleans, refreshes. It can even give me a second wind.

We may be the ONLY wolfies with fins and gills. Leave us near the water, by the water, in the water.Warm (not yellow) water.
With jacuzzi bubbles.

Payments "as low" as $150/month. Plus the new water bill increase.

All I can think is how much it would suck if you opened the door while it was full...

I have a front-loading washer, and it locks. It's impossible to open it while it's running. I'm assuming the same goes for this :)

Well, that sucks, too. I often find something I left behind or dropped right after I start a load of wash. |
