. Hopefully the link works.
WTF were the ad guys thinking on this one?! I've bought these before & they're quite good... but this commercial will probably keep me from buying them again. W.O.W. |

I actually just logged on specifically for the purpose of writing about this monstrosity of a commercial that makes my ears bleed. I've been watching TV only for like an hour this morning and the number of times they've played this commercial is already in the double digits.
Seriously, if they took this commercial to a focus group and that focus group actually PASSED the idea of this commercial, they need to seriously re-evaluate themselves. And what's up with 70's Porno Guy in the recording studio at the end? |

Ugh I just saw this and logged on to see if the thread was already started. Do they really think this awful singing will help sell their stupidly named product(seriously, if you're not actually watching TV when you hear the ad, it sounds like they're saying Velveeta, not Belvita)? And yeah, was that "music producer" or whatever he's supposed to be with the 70's 'stache someone that got rejected in the Anchorman 2 casting or what?

This is easily the worst of 2013 (it started airing in late December). Every time I hear this skinny Olive Oil looking bitch singing I wanna throw a brick at my TV.
What is Belvita, and what's that white creamy stuff they're always dipping it in? This is actually worse than the Belvita terrible golf player one. "You're golfin' now buddy!". Belvita wins for worst marketing team in history. I wouldn't eat that crap if I was starving. |

I didn't see it here till January, so I'm reserving this a spot on my worst of 2014 list...unless the ad execs manage to come up with 10 EVEN WORSE choices, which sadly I cannot totally rule out. |

I actually like this cmmercial for the 'doing an impression of the client on mute'-part. Saw it for the first time, today.

They even included the dreaded hashtag at the end, like the cherry on top of this horrendous abomination. I want to hurt whoever was in their focus group. It's just the beginning of January, but this HAS TO BE one of the top ten worst of 2014. If this year releases ten worse commercials, then... I don't know --the whole world's gone mad; the world is a horrible place; I hate everyone and want to live in the woods? Something like that.

^Amy I agree. If this doesn't make the top 10 worst of 2014 I'm cancelling my DirecTV & selling my televisions. There couldn't possibly be 10 worse commercials this year, right? I shudder to think that that could be a real possibility... however, we have 11 months & 3 wks left, so ya never know.
Belvita is a fairly healthy breakfast biscuit that has protein in it. They're actually quite good. I used to get the blueberry kind. I slowed down buying them when I heard the first commercial. If you're not watching but listening only, it does sound like they're saying Velveeta. Who the EFF thought it would be a good idea to name a breakfast biscuit something that sounds ridiculously similar to gunky rubber cheese? |

They were probably going for something like "Bella Vita", which in Italian means "Beautiful Life." "Belvita" is technically incorrect, though, because "vita" is a feminine noun, and "bel" is used for "bello" which is masculine.

I can't help it..,this commercial just tickled me as I'm kick-starting my day.
"blah blah blah blah blah" (the impression with the customer on mute)
~and~
"...and I wrote this song."
"No, You didn't"
There's a silver lining in evey piece of mental mush shovelled our direction.

Nothing but hate for the song, really dont like this trend of "cutesy" alt-songs for commercials. Reminds me much of the (Hyundai Holidays) car commercials last Christmas featuring the ever terrible 'Pamplemousse'

I hear that and raise you the new Long Johns (Capt D's?) commercial, unfortunately. Equally annoying song, but sung by a man (in a way too high pitch voice) about un-healthy food lol. Cant seem to find the vid atm tho. |

I really hate this commercial. Stupid catchy song but if you think that's going to make my buy your product you are way off base.
I've never tried one, I don't care if they are good or not, I will never buy one because of this ad. If their think tank worked really hard on the lyrics for the song, shame on you. "dressed up as a dog, wrote about it on my blog". Are you kidding? I could go on, the whole song is a train wreck. pathetic.

Saw and heard this ad for the first time a few minutes ago. What's up with all these commercials that feature people who can't carry a tune in a bucket? And these Zooey Deschanel "I'm so cute and quirky, you've just GOT to love me" lookalikes? This indie, hipster crap has GOT to stop! And to you, Mr. 70s porn director who wrote this "song", a three year old could come up with a better jingle than this dreck.
Morning win? More like morning fail to me. |

Oh this commercial is just so cute and quirky and hilarious!
See lookit, this gal is grimacing horribly while pretending to cry to get out of a ticket and oh watch out! She glanced at the cop to make sure he's buying it! Isn't that funny? No that wasn't funny enough so.......oh my god............GET THIS:....... you're not gonna believe this sh*t, really - she glanced at the cop a SECOND time while still grimacing! Isn't that hilarious? HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA NO. I hope this bitch got the come-uppance she deserved because guess what SugarPants? That phone wasn't really on Mute when you decided to imitate your boss. Karma SUCKS doesn't it? |

Yep, same issue. Like I said, first time I saw one of these commercials it had some douche talking about how "Belvita in the morning really improves my golf game!". And I was doing something else at the time, and had to stop and look up cause I was wondering WTF does Velveeta have to do with helping you golf?
