Holy crap are you serious? That's great
If her mom's any indication of the future Honey Boo Boo, life in the pen without parole would be less punishing than marriage to her. |

And here are some more "goodies" from the redneck/Honey Boo Boo line of entertainment, Honey Boo Boo porn:

Not kidding at all. In fact, I've referenced that song (along with that clip) a few times here. It's kind of my "go-to" song-and-dance clip.

(Great to see you back, ol'Friend...you've been a bit of an MIA, there....)
Agreed.
TLC has capatalized on the absurd aspects of life, and, well, it is tiring.
They are fun to make fun of, though.

I just now saw that commercial. I'm really confused, I don't see how Honey Boo Boo could be such a big hit. Who watches this stuff? Are they really that bored?

I just saw something that cracked me up and got me thinking.
Have you seen the promo for that movie "Pitch Perfect"? When you see it focus on the character of "Fat Amy" and think Honey BooBoo in about ten years.

I think you're being generous on the ten years. I vote five. Nothing like Go Go juice (Mountain Dew and Red Bull) to help that goal.

Try falling asleep with the idiot box on, then rolling over onto the remote. Happens ALL THE TIME at 'The Den'. *I* have actually be brought back to a 'waking state' (before sliding into a painful coma) while get my ass kicked by MissyDWolf because I not only unconciously changed to TLC and Honey Boo Boo, but I maxed out the volume and woke her up with that crap.
I''m thinking of suing for damages to my bad old damaged self.

That's why I highlighted "we, the people", and used the word "collective". It may not be any of us in particular, but apparently, enough people like these sorts of reality shows to keep 'em going.

Interesting point.
Makes one wonder if the TLC channel is pandering to the 'average educational level of the American voter'.
That would be 3rd grade, last time I checked - You, or ol'Mule might have a more current view.

Long ago I came up with a theory that somewhere way up in the Himalayan mountains is an order of monks who have TVs allover every wall and every one of those TVs is hooked up to a Neilsen box. Their sole duty in life is to make sure every crappy TV show stays on the air.

I often wonder what lil booboo will do when she's old enough to figure out how much money mama was paid and why lil booboo didn't get anything.

C'mon Cap'n!
If'n you're the same as any of the rest of us, you KNOW her mother will come across with the standard answer,
"...and YOU think I raise children is FREE?! You think YOU were that much of a pleasure?!..."
I think that is what *I* was told when I came of age (somewhere around, oh, say...45).
I think that is what *I* told our pups, too - probably the same day (possibly the same setting) it was told to me.

So, when she gets older, she'll eat out of a garbage can, and have 30 minute orgasms?
Sorry. I'll go in the corner and slap myself.... |
