I do not mind this commercial until the 'Fench Model' shows up - no two ways about it - he needs to be taken out back and have the 'French' beat right out of him (but then, well..that doesn't say too much about her).

Yeah, I agree.  There are way too many threads here that don't include the name of the product in the title.  People choosing to editorialize in the subject line instead of providing some actual useful information, has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time.

Also---spelling the name of the product correctly!  For example, I went to search for the thread on a Little Caesar commercial, but couldn't find it.  Wink

WinkOnce upon a time we spent plenty of time in France - I even learned a few words, but never the French word for 'puke' (dégueulis).
Things like soap, deodorant, toothpaste...I know the French had seen pictures of them in magazines, but, well...pretty sure they figured they'd have to season a cabin in an airline for 12 hours on the way to Amérique, to actually try some out.
Habits - well, let's see here...there were indeed some beautiful French women, but it got weird quick. Shaving? Anywhere? Well..."rasage pour les hommes!" ("Shaving is for Men!"). Yea - imagine the armpit on that cute...well..'cute & untamed' girl. Better yet - let me paint you a picture of a sight I've never forgotten - very shapely - 'to die for', beautiful French black woman wearing a mini skirt and red fishnet stockings...but HER legs were furrier than MINE. I will never forget looking at MissyDWolf and telling her we just saw Magilla Gorilla in drag.

Indeed, France is a great place for food, for history, for romance (as long as you bring your own)...they probably sell deodorant and razors there, now.

That French word for "puke" sucks.  It's like puttin' lipstick on a pig.

Besides, I figured it would be regurgitois.

Couldn't have said it better. The commercial is almost tolerable until that middle-aged neckbeard hipster shows up and speaks in his oh-so-ironic, snarky tone.

I was on a flight with a family of Russian Immigrants. There is a huge Russian (Old Believer's) community close to where I live. I was aware that they had been travelling for days but myself and other passengers had to breath through our mouths for more than 2 hours.

Staying overnight or longer in many European hotels I have always had a funcional shower. I have also noticed many Europeans (including France) who did not smell as if they had recently bathed. I feel very uncomfortable if I miss my morning shower.

They haven't stopped playing this commercial.  I actually think it's pretty funny.  The look that the girl gives "Mike" as she walks away with the "French model", and the smirk on the French model's face, crack me up.

I'd love to see the casting for this commercial - "we need someone ugly.  big, oafy, & ugly.   You there...you're ugly, but not ugly ENOUGH.  You're out.   Now this guy....he's hideous.  We have our man"

I have to agree with Thor and give this one a thumbs up. It's just terrific.

The commercial is completely intolerable because it's yet another car accident commercial with only one wrecked car. What did he hit? Some dense air mass that was carelessly left out in the street? Then, to add insult.. while he's documenting the accident on his pocket app.. standing on a straight street with no intersections.. his phone shows a T-intersection collision.

^  Yeah, but I pay no attention to that aspect of the commercial.  I'm just looking at it for its sheer entertainment value.  In fact, the black guy and his accident just serve as the ruse here, as far as I'm concerned.

I actually like this because I know way too many people who get their facts from "somewhere on the internet" and they act like its the only truth there is. Usually this has to do with Religion bashing where people want to take everything out of context . Either way, This seems to hit the nail on the coffin for me. I love it.

That's part of my problem with the "stupidity" aspect of the girl. Say, just for the sake of argument, that she actually DID have some reason to be on the internet trying to find out if State Farm had mobile apps... she would have gotten links to State Farm's mobile apps. The whole commercial just makes my skin crawl, the only saving grace being that Mr. Buttugly managed to use internet deception to get a date with a half-cute... although very stupid... blonde.

At the risk of being accused of resurrecting an old/dying/dead topic (I'm not sure what qualifies as old/dying/dead) ...

I agree about the looks and smirks mentioned by Thor. I still sometimes smile when I see that part, even with the commercial airing a few times a day around here. But what gets me is the girl's disregard for Mike and his "accident".

She's coming off the steps and asking him what he's up to, as if she doesn't see the steaming, damaged car right there. Then when Mike tells her that he's diagramming the accident, all we hear from her is a faint "hmmm". She doesn't ask Mike if he's OK or of he needs any help or anything. Besides the minimal "hmmm", she doesn't acknowledge the accident or damage at all.

It seems like she's more worried about the big bags in her life (I'm talking about the tote/purse, as well as the "French model".) And I'm not a fan of continuity errors, even the small one between about :18 and :20, where the bag straps are first on her shoulder, and then with the change in camera angle, she's pulling them back up onto her shoulder again.

All in all, I like the commercial. I just really wish the girl showed some basic human decency and at least acknowledged Mike and the accident.

Ummm... Nice try, but that is not what this completely reliable and factual picture says.
