Oh please,Unhappy

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h88sYPwyr_nXjvWrDPYQmUZu5yvgD91GBGI00

Even after he explained the context, CNN is still saying OMG HE SAID SOMETHING THAT CAN REMOTELY BE INTERPRETED AS BAD puuuuuhlease this story is barely registaring on my radar.

Why can't people in the news get outraged at something more important regarding race like how inner city schools are getting screwed thanks to No Child Left Behind or how blacks are more likely to live in poor-quality nursing homes compared to whites, http://www.temple.edu/newsroom/2007_2008/09/stories/nursinghome.htmor how many blacks are still perceived as criminals.etc.

geez, look I am not a racist, I'm just pissed at the fact that every time Don Imus says something remotely stupid it immediately IT TAKES FRONT STAGE over more important issues that should be taken care of first. In comparison to what an old wrinkly shock jock says on a radio station that barely anyone listens to in this area.

he didn't even say one racial slur, zero. Not one peep of the N word, not one.

'Sensationalism Sells'
Thank goodness Howard Stern kept his idiotic mouth shut (well - I guess you really have to chose to listen to that clown - you have to PAY).
Guess if we want *real* news such as you mention, well, better go to NPR.

I'm not a fan, but when I heard this this morning all I could think was "Man, he's not going to be able to BREATHE soon without someone taking offense."

Don Imus is actually a better pitchman than he is radio announcer.  Some of his commercials are gems, such as those for Vital K, a product that may be no longer in existence, as well as the Turquoise Buffalo tortilla chips.  I wish ABC or CBS Radio would hire Imus to only do radio spots.

I'm truly upset about the comments," Jones said. "Obviously Mr. Imus has problems with African-Americans. I'm upset, and I hope the station he works for handles it accordingly. I will pray for him."

So Pacman  Adam Jones found religion?Confused He should pray his career doesn't go down the toilet.

You'd think that if Imus wanted to illustrate the point that he says he was trying to make, he wouldn't have used Pacman Jones as the example.

...a whole bunch ado about nothing.

In this case, leave Imus alone - the friggin' whiners are all standing around like beat-up little kids with snotty noses and weepy faces, pointing at big bad Don Imus.

Friend of mine just brought over a mixed CD that his son made for him.  Turns out that one of the songs, Love Jones, is the song that Basketball Jones is based on!  Here're the lyrics and the song.  Great stuff  LOL:

Love Jones
Brighter Side of Darkness

What's happenin', baby?
Did you miss me over the weekend
If you did, I'm sorry

But now that I'm here
I don't want to bore you
With an irrelevant conversation
But you see, darling
It's about time for me to
Get real serious about you

Because if someone was
To rip me off of you
I couldn't account for
My actions, after all
And knowing the way I feel
Knowing that you should
Be mine, all the time

But you see
I not only want you, baby
I need you

And the need is so strong
It's almost like that of a junkie
In other words, baby
I just got to have you

Listen to me, darling
Please, listen to me

Love Jones, I got a Love Jones
I got a Love Jones for you
Love Jones, I got a Love Jones
I got a Love Jones for you

What, baby
What is a Love Jones
Shucks, darling
It's when you love someone
Very, very much and you
Just can't seem to
Get yourself together

Like last Friday in class
When Mr.Russell was
Giving us the test
I was sitting up, staring at you
And daydreaming
I know I failed
A test paper with
Nothing but my name on it

I guess anybody can
Have a Love Jones
It's just love, the true love
The way I feel about you
That's a Love Jones

Love Jones, I got a Love Jones
I got a Love Jones for you
Love Jones, I got a Love Jones
I got a Love Jones for you....

Give honestly gives a damn if someone said something.  Oh my GOD, he said such and such.  Stupid ass media.  But all they care about is ratings.  A lot of people says racist things everyday.  It is no big deal unless you are some type of celebrity, I guess.
