Hi Boys and Girls! What kind of ice cream do you prefer? You can include any frozen dessert you like, sundaes, shakes etc. My favorite is Moose tracks, It's really beautiful vanilla mixed with fudge, peanut butter cups and bits of crunchy chocolate. I only have it once a year on my birthday, because you should eat it with the heart paddles already attached to your chest!LOL

My two favourite frozen dairy treats would have to be mint chocolate chip ice cream and those vanilla-filled orange popcycles.

Trying to pick a favorite ice cream is like trying to pick a favorite child who momentarily makes you feel happy but then ultimately just makes you depressed and fat later.

I love Strawberry, Maple Walnut, Pumpkin, any Cheesecake flavored ice cream, Cake Batter, and Fudge Brownie (or equivalent).

Oberwies chocolate milk shakes.  Damn tasty.

Although they tasted better when I got them free from my friend who was a manager at one of the stores.

Chocolate chip.  I like Mint Chocolate chip too,  but it kind of reminds me of eating toothpaste with chocolate chips in it. LOL

On the west coast they have Dreyer's Ice Cream.

On the east coast the same brand is called Edy's,  I think so as not to be confused with Breyers.

Notice that both Edy's and Dreyer's have the guy with the icecream as an apostrophe.

Breyer's is better than Dreyer's.

Double Rainbow Swiss chocolate almond or swiss vanilla almond rules.  (I love nuts; I am nuts, but that's another story.)

There's an ice cream place in SF I used to go to, called Polly Ann's.  It was pretty much a kid's place, with all sorts of crazy concoctions (like the Psychedelic Sundae), but they also had some of the most unusual flavors of ice cream.  All homemade, too.  Here's some of those odd flavors:

Cantaloupe
Mango
Coconut
Lavendar
Rose
Black licorice
Champagne
Green tea
Banana
Jasmine
Taro
Coffee mint
Pumpkin
Durian (a Philipino fruit that's been said to smell like gasoline or rotting corpse)
Strawberry Oreo

There were dozens more of these odd flavors, in addition to the usual sorts.  Supposedly, they have 400 flavors, but not all at once.  I once had a coconut-rose milkshake there.  Incredible!

I like plain vanilla, Big Momma.  But it's also a good basis to mix in other flavorings.  Orange extract, anise extract, lemon, kiwi, grape, peppermint, etc.  Or actual fruit.

This is too weird.  I mentioned a fruit called the durian a few posts back.  At this moment, the morning talk show guys I listen to (Armstrong and Getty) are talking about this fruit!!  They say the flavor is described as gasoline, garbage, stinky sox, manure.

Now, a caller-in is saying it's "an acquired taste".  Described the smell as garlic/vomit.

Another caller is now saying that the ice cream version of the flavor is popular in Southeast Asia.

OK, here we go.....

I like any of those "chocolate-fudge-chunk" type ice creams. Any brand.

I like that orange sherbet with vanilla swirls stuff.

I like any flavor of sherbet (sorbet for you hoity-toities), but I especially like that "Whole Fruit" brand.

I loooooooooove ice cream sandwiches. WalMart Super Center sells them with peanut butter flavored ice cream which is Awwwwwwwwwwwesome.

I like Klondike Bars. Any flavor.

I like those Good Humor brand chocolate & strawberry "shortcake" bars with the crunchy stuff on the outside.

I like to put chocolate ice cream & chocolate milk together in the blender & make chocolate milk shakes.

I like to put sherbet, 2% milk & a bananna together in the blender to make nice cold smoothies.

I like vanilla ice cream on Pop Tarts. Eat them by hand like a slice of pizza.

I like to put crunchy stuff like dry cereal on ice cream.

I like lotsa stuff.

Too bad I rarely ever actually eat any of it.

I like the Whole Fruit stuff, too.  The lemon is great.

However, sherbet and sorbet are not the same product.  One has dairy; the other doesn't.

I do something like that a lot.  Banana, milk, and coconut flavoring is great.

I got a bad watermelon last week.  Actually, the flavor's good, but the consistency is not.  So, I've been scooping out the fruit, putting it in a blender, adding skim milk and maybe just a little bit of Reddi-Whip.  It may sound gross, but it makes a great watermelon shake.  Not as thick as a real milkshake, but thick enough so that the straw stands up in the glass.

I love to get a cup of Carvel chocolate/vanilla swirl and have it doused in chocolate crunchies.

A brown bonnet is delicious, too! Ditto an ice cream sandwich.

I only like to eat ice cream if we go out for a cone or cup. I rarely buy a container and bring it home.
