The cat is a near twin of my late great Casper in appearance and attitude. I'm surprised by the background music. Link Wray's "Rumble". Also used in the film "Pulp Fiction".

Nobody in their right mind would take a cat for a car ride with the window down.

Looks like he was leashed in, but still...how many cats would put up with that?  They could hang themselves if they tried to jump from the car, or they'd at least struggle to free themselves of the collar.

Why would you want to take a cat for a car ride, anyway?  They're not dogs.  I doubt they'd enjoy it.

We used to occasionally take our cat for car rides when I was a kid.

We kept the windows up and the doors locked, though.

He seemed to enjoy it.

Just sat up in the rear windshield watching everything go by.

The dog loved to go for rides in my truck.  But she would get her paw on the armrest on the passenger side. She could open the window as I was taking a left turn. I thought she was going to fall out.

Absolutely! Cats are jumpers. My last cat Casper occasionally wanted to jump in the car with me. He was fine until I started the engine then it was total panic mode. I had a very weird cat when I was a teenager. He was extremely docile and would jump onto the rear window parcel shelf in my 1955 Chevrolet which had rather loud exhaust. Windows always up.

Of course the mega cool cat in the commercial is no doubt CGI plus AdTards have no concept of common sense or reality. I was more impressed by the soundtrack. I have 3 male older cousins 2, 4, and 6 years older than me. In 1962 when I was 10 y/o They lived in Santa Barbara, California and were into surfing. We did the road trip to California every other year as my Brother lived there. My cousins were listening to and turned me onto Link Wray, Dick Dale, and The Ventures. Pioneers of "Surf Rock". The Beach Boys were in their infancy. They attempted and failed to teach me to surf. When we returned in 1964 Beach Boys and Jan and Dean were more popular. I still sucked at surfing.

Cat belonged to the bitch that dumped him. He's taking the little tire sweater out for a swim.Wink

We had cats for a short spell and never would de-claw them.
Our cats always looked the same and I never saw anyone else with cats like them - they all had long, primarily grey hair with streaks of black, brown, white.
They were all psychotic.
Took one for a car ride - she always liked to get under the front seat for the warmth.
Hit a bump.
Guess the cat was having a nightmare because it came flying out from under the seat, totally nuts, claws and all.
Got pretty scary for a moment.

The commercial really told me little more than Fords can be blue, this year...but it didn't jump in the face and it DID have great background music. Thank You for saving me the brain power, Sarge - I was thinking to myself, "Confused...self? Where have I heard that really cool music before?! It was in a movie, I just know...".
And Sarge left no doubt.Big smileWink

No, can't complain about the music.  I like Link Wray.  I have a "Best of" CD.
