My computer is ill this morning too! I've lost my bookmarks, history and I'm having trouble posting a video! I don't need this guy, I'll bet he does not need an extended warranty anyway! I don't watch the pre-game, halftime or post-game reports! I don't even get ESPN! Chris Berman Net Worth: Chris Berman is an American sportscaster who has a net worth of $20 million. Chris Berman has been a sportscaster for 30 years and is considered the face of ESPN.

I'm sick of all these commercials for home and car warranties.
In most cases, by the time you actually use one, you've paid more in premiums than the repair would've cost. That's how they can afford to stay in business and make a profit. Sucker game. |

I always liked CNN's Van Earl Wright... Shame he never got to be a bigger name than he did. Saw an interview where he said he's doing a high school game of the week segment for a station in Atlanta. |

Saw this ad early this morning. My GOD Chris, why is he peddling this horsesh*t?
Then the painfully fake "testimonials" from actors...sorry, I mean customers.
Commercial is full of cringe! |

The worst thing about this crap is that he knows every bit as well as the shysters who are paying him to shill for them and con you out of your money, that modern cars are built so that, with reasonable and proper maintenance, they rarely have major mechanical problems. And even more rarely within the 150k mileage limit for eligibility.
They also know that, by the time the average person takes advantage of the coverage, they've spent considerably more money in monthly premiums than the repair would have cost them. When a trusted (and already wealthy) media celebrity, sinks low enough to do commercials for something like this, knowing that they're taking advantage of hard working people who need every dollar they can get to live month to month, it's just a craven money grab. How much more money do these people need??? |

Chris says something like..."That's why I have it!" Total bullcrap! A) He might get free coverage as part of his compensation package. B) If he has classic older cars, most wealthy people do, they would probably be too old to qualify for coverage. C) If you are worth 20 million, you don't keep a new car more than 3 or 4 years. D) The next time some f*ck calls me wanting to sell me an extended warranty for my truck...

Berman may be a shill, but to me, he was the only talking head on ESPN who I actually liked. He was funny, intelligent, sensible, and knowledgeable. Now that the powers that be kicked him out of their mainstream programming, because milleninials simply do not get his jokes, I don't watch any pregame/postgame/halftime show, anywhere. The only way to see him now is through ESPN Plus, which I sure as F*** don't want to pay for. I'm done listening to football announcers. DONE.

I think he kind of copied his style from Van Earl Wright (see above videos this thread),,at least when it came to narrating highlights. |

He's backed off on his street lingo. Mush mouth won't get you new clients. He can't act his way out of a paper bag.

Car Shield is the most annoying commercial out there next to Liberty Mutual.
This guy, Chris Berman, is a clown. He's gonna be my "HOST" for a commercial?? This guy needs a life. Maybe selling vacuum cleaners door to door.

I've never much liked Berman either, but since he's been shilling for this outfit, I can't stand him. And really, with all the money he's got, does anyone actually believe he uses this company? He probably buys a new car every other year and trades in the old one before the warranty is expired. It's about as silly as Tom Selleck taking out a reverse mortgage loan. Some celebs will shill for anything. |

I liked Berman years ago but his act was wearing very thin before ESPN marginalized him. That "back....back...back" shtick ruined the homerun contest for me. I stopped watching all sports a few years ago so seeing him anywhere is irritating to me. I agree with other posters: how much money do these people need? The commercial where Berman is sitting behind a desk in the middle of a garage is particularly stupid. I also noticed his hair is a bizarre unnatural color...kind of yellowish. An obvious bad dye job. At least I can find solace in the fact that these media assholes have to submit to ridiculous measures to look younger.

"It's about as silly as Tom Selleck taking out a reverse mortgage loan." i LOVE how good OLD Fagnum seems to be about to have a stroke after a leisurely stroll on his mansions grounds...how bad of shape is this marginally talented putz shiller? He seems about to pass from COPD 'This is NOT my first RODEO'--Jeez, Tom getting on a horse would KILL you Him & Berman are equally obnoxious in different ways--Bermans sputtering and running out of steam on a SENTENCE has always struck me as super lame

I just caught the latest Car Shield commercial. Chris Berman now looks like a fatter, less debonair Lou Costello.
