The Biography Channel is to become FYI this July. It is a lifestyle channel, probably more reality shows.

I learned this through Logopedia and Deadline Hollywood.

Sigh.
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

Another Network succumbs to the cancer called "Reality" Shows. Don't like it? Then don't pay for it.

I'd be lying if I said "I didn't see this coming." But, I kinda did, since the Biography Channel seldomly shows biographies anymore. The channel is really a toxic waste dump for reality programming that won't make it on another network, so I guess the bigwigs at A&E Television Networks figure they can take a channel that very few watch and clog it to damn near death with reality shows, and once it gets a huge fan base, change the name to something more fitting and before you know it, you're watching a network obsessed to death with 'reality' shows which are fake as hell, if you ask me. My advice, unsubscribe from Bio and save yourself from the pain that comes with the loss of a good network in favor of a s****y one.
All it takes is one bad commercial, and you're off to CIH to share your distaste for the offending advertisement.

^  Did the Biography Channel ever air biographies?  I looked at their former shows listed in Wikipedia, and it seems like the focus was always mostly on crime stories.  Quickly, it turned to reality shows.

For a short time they did, but it seems they don't even want to recognize that, if they're not showing it on Wikipedia. Angry Okay, time to get my titanium bat and go clubbing.

There's a show called Biography, but I don't think it's on the Bio Channel.  It used to good, but then they started bio-ing mainly the latest pop stars and celebs...'cuz we just can't know enough about Beyonce.
