That's what I get for skimming the scam. I'm a scam skimmer.

I KNEW something was HELLA SHADY about Brian right off the bat! Really? Signing up on a forum clearly called "Commercials I Hate," and then asking for a website where people don't complain? No, just no. I even called him out on it. My suspicions were confirmed.

First of all, who can blame you for skimming thru that mess as fast as possible? Second of all, don't feel bad because I did the same thing the first time I read it. It wasn't until after I read your post that I actually went back thru it slowly enough to get the gist of it.

I'm only here to b*tch and moan about the pollution of garbage ads that fills our TV screens 24/7.
TV shows I do watch regularly I DVR so I can skip the damn ads, Not a fan of network shows On Demand ...and not have an option to fast forward through the same insipid commercial over and over.

Glad I'm not the only one so incredibly sick of the non stop RX ads, the stupid car ads with goofball spokespeople, the commercials with blaring rap, dance..what ever "music" they spew.  It's an nice outlet for me.

Not sure what you're pitching here...with that said.

Let's all plan a meet up in NYC and protest the commercials on TV (Since protesting is "in style")
March up up Madison Ave....creating gridlock in Manhattan and blast this - overplayed - song over and over....and over again until our ears bleed.

On second thought, nah.

Is there a song in there?  No melody whatsoever.  All I hear is a lotta warbling and screeching and screaming (or whatever it is that passes for good singing these days).

LOLLOL I personally HATE that song, I didn't even listen to it when I posted it. I heard it so many times during this past election or anytime they show highlights of some passionate march for [insert whatever cause], this song airs.

Now I'm seeing it on ABC over and over for some sappy TV show/special.

It's just a lot of whining and "woo-woo'ing"

I know I'm not alone, in the last five years the Pay-TV providers have been losing subscribers in droves. Some have done what I've done, others have turned to streaming services such as Netflix, Vudu and other "streaming" services or simply watch the free OTA channels and their "substations". (The OTA Networks such as CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and CW are also losing viewers as well). I consider myself a "Pioneer" among these kind of viewers. There's no doubt all of us do not like viewing the insane amount of advertising that's tossed at us either through the 20 plus minutes of commercials each hour (As well as what's on those commercials as well as the on-screen advertising that obscures a chunk of what we are watching and the outrageous prices they are slamming us with). I'm sure you've heard of a company "voting with their feet" (That's closing up shop and moving to a location that's more favorable to them to those of you in Rio Linda!). Since "Voting with my eyeballs" in 2007 millions of others have done the exact same thing I have done, and I don't blame them. The entertainment industry should take notice. Their are are greener pastures out there, and we have found them.
I seriously doubt that the broadcast channels avoid playing the ED drug commercials.

I'm sure they show these kinds of ads on OTA channels as well. Angry AFAIC it really doesn't matter, with over 45,000 episodes from over 1,000 different TV series on Home Video along with over 2,700 movies, 80 serials and over 500 documentaries at my fingertips, all of them devoid of commercials. Something about watching pre recorded TV shows on tape or DVD that just doesn't appeal to me. I can do it once in awhile, but I prefer to watch shows as they come on. Too much work deciding which show I feel like taking out of the collection and popping into the player.

Not as spontaneous.

I watch most of my shows in the evening, from around 7:00 PM to 11:00PM. Picking out what I want to watch is no big deal for me. I generally watch TV shows from Monday to Friday and movies on Saturday and Sunday. All four walls of my TV room are lined with shelves where I store my videos. I don't need any networks, OTA or pay. I made my own network! LOL
