Hi,

I'm not an active user on this site, I just had a question. On tonight's episode of Twin Peaks: The Return, a poem (or part of a poem) was mentioned through out the episode.

"This is the water, and this is the well. Drink full, and ascend.
The horse is the white of the eyes, and dark within."

After doing a quick google search, people found this site. It seems to be the only connection to this poem before the episode aired. So my question is if anyone knows the meaning of the poem or where it originated? Seems oddly placed for a site about hating commercials. If you know the answer or can point all us Twin Peak's fans in the right direction, that would be very helpful.

And for those unaware, the poem is at the very bottom of the every page of this website.

PS Sorry if this is not the right place to post this topic, I couldn't access the off topic's page.

I've never noticed that before.

It might have been recently added.

Best thing to do is PM the Forum Admin and ask him.
Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

I never noticed it, either.  How do you know this was there before the episode aired?  I'm thinking maybe the Forum Administrator is a fan of the show, and decided to put it there right after seeing the episode.

This quote was found on cached version of this site as early as 21 hours before the episode aired.

Please see this thread for details: https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/6jierm/s3e8_weird_poem/

There's a lot more to this.

Yeah, what's going on here? Before the episode even finished this was the only place on the internet with that weird poem. Unless someone running the site was involved in production I can't imagine it's just a coincidence.

Thanks for the info. I don't know how to pm people on here unfortunately. If there is a way to ping the admin, that would be cool. Although this pretty much answers my question.

As a new member, he may not have access to PM'ing yet.  I seem to recall something like that.

Confirming.
I'm a huge fan and saw the episode a few days early.
I put the quote here for fun.

It looks like your current quote has attracted some troll activity.

LMAO! On a side note, on another website, the Admin calls himself Admin. A poster said,"I didn't know you were the Admin of this website. I thought you were a normal poster who simply called himself Admin." LOL!
My name is Donathan, pronounced the same way you pronounce Jonathan, except with a D. :D $608 for her brother's scooter. Fair is fair my ass. Being tough on Public Access TV is priceless.
