I just put $20 worth into the 21 gallon tank of my 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus which was dead empty. The price was $1.89 a gallon. It gave me 3/4 a tank of fuel. This car was manufactured during the gas embargo of the early 1970s which may explain the huge gas tank.

Lucky you hooty, I live near Cleveland and I got some for $1.74 today. I'm pleased with that though, considering my tank is only 10 gallons and my tiny car gets good mileage.

1.79 yesterday here in Grand Island, NE. HyVee also knocks off a few cents when you buy groceries and gas there.

If THIS keeps up, then our trip to the North Pole via the Ice Roads @ 80 MPH, to see my Cousin in his ol' furry red suit...is back ON!!!

I have mixed feelings about the price of gas going back low again. Seems that while the price was high, people started making smarter decisions about driving fuel efficient vehicles. Now that the scare is over, I'm afraid people are just going to go right back to old habits. We need to conserve fuel whether the price of gas is high or low.
My truck gets 12mpg because it's loaded with work stuff. So when my wife and I go out together we take the car. The car isn't as nice as the truck. It's a Corolla, and as Nathan once noted, it's extremely loud, but it gets 35mpg or better.
